How to become a building material dealer

The demand for building material has been increasing over these years as shelters which is been built rises. Shelter is one of the basic needs of man, he can’t survive without having a place he can lay his head, that’s why the demand for houses will always continue to rise, and this will in turn give rise to increase in demand for building material. This means that the market is already there. There is high probability of survival and make it from dealing on building material.

First, buy or rent a shop in/around the market area in the city, where it’s reachable by the consumers. Pay all legal dues accruable to the government and others.

Meet the manufacturer or importer of building materials; inform him of your intention of dealing on his product. The will then give you their terms and condition for becoming their distributor, if you are okay with that you sign the contract, the manufacturer becomes the supplier and you becomes the distributor. Some time you can demand for discount from our supplier.

Note, the terms of the manufacturer are not that rigid because they really need you as a distributor to be able to reach to wider consumer coverage.

You can also start importing your own product from outside the country when you might have acquired the knowledge and experience in international trade and rules and processes involved in importation like whether the country approved the importation of a particular product.
